After learning that this organization runs on donations, I decided to join the board to help make sure the funding will always be there to help keep this amazing resource available to the children of the community."
Throughout our lives, we have all witnessed children be put in positions that are not in their best interest. Abused and neglected, many of those children are not the priority to those closest to them. I learned about CASA several years ago from one of the volunteers. Her passion about what she does by representing these children drove me to want to find a way to contribute to the process. I fully support the idea that there can be an adult whose role in these situations is to focus only on what is best for the child. These CASA representatives are the true definition of volunteers. They do this for the children and nothing else.
